This is a great collectible for any Marvel fan or Iron Man 2 enthusiast.

In the Iron Man 2 movie, Whiplash, whose real name is Ivan Vanko, never actually dons a Whiplash Mark 2 suit. There’s some confusion because in the final showdown, Vanko upgrades his gear from electrified whips to a full-body exoskeleton suit.

Here’s what the movie shows about Vanko’s final suit:

  • Cobbled-Together Tech: It’s not a polished, high-tech suit like Iron Man’s. Vanko builds it himself using his own designs and likely incorporates stolen Hammer Industries weaponry.
  • Enhanced Abilities: The suit grants Vanko superhuman strength, durability (thanks to titanium steel alloy plating), and even flight – something Iron Man’s suits at that point couldn’t do.
  • Upgraded Whips: The suit integrates Vanko’s signature weapons – electric whips. They’re more powerful than before, housed in his forearms and deployed by a motorized system.
  • Self-Destruct: As a last resort, the suit has a self-destruct feature.

It’s worth noting that some concept art for the movie depicted alternate designs for both of Vanko’s outfits, including a more Iron Man-like suit for Whiplash Mark 2. But the final film showed a bulkier, more industrial-looking exoskeleton
