Product Description

This model kit of Batman from the film, The Flash, features a pre-painted effect that delicately replicates the unique color separations of the Batman suit. The inclusion of multiple mouth shapes allows for serious, yelling, and smiling expressions, making Batman’s portrayal more vivid. It comes with a variety of hand configurations, as well as classic weapons like the Bat Dart and the Hook Lock Gun. These elements enhance the dynamic quality of the display. Additionally, the cloak is embedded with iron wire, which not only mimics the texture seen in the movie but also supports high-tension poses for a more dynamic presentation.

In the 2023 film The Flash, we see not one, but two Batmen! Here’s a breakdown of the primary one, played by Michael Keaton:

  • Older, Wiser, Weary: This isn’t the same Batman from 1989 and 1992. Decades have passed in his timeline. He’s retired, living in Wayne Manor that’s seen better days, and sporting a grizzled beard. There’s a sadness to him, a sense of loss and isolation.

  • Still Got It (Mostly): Despite the years, Keaton’s Batman proves he’s still a formidable fighter. He leaps into action with surprising agility, utilizing gadgets and his Bat-plane. However, there are hints that age has taken a toll – he’s not as invincible as he once was.

  • Haunted by the Past: This Batman carries the weight of his experiences. He’s lost allies (we see hints of what happened to Robin), and the burden of his mission weighs heavily on him. There’s a sense that he’s seeking redemption or a reason to believe in heroism again.

  • Classic Suit with Updates: The Batsuit is a blend of the familiar and the new. It retains the iconic silhouette from the Burton films, but with some modern enhancements. It’s more armored and tactical, reflecting the years of crime-fighting.

  • Mentor Figure: Keaton’s Batman becomes a mentor to both Barry Allen and the younger, less experienced Barry who gets pulled into this alternate timeline. He provides guidance, though tinged with his own cynicism and weariness.

Without giving away major spoilers, this Batman’s role is significant. He’s not just a cameo for nostalgia. He plays a key part in the film’s action and emotional core, grappling with his past and finding a renewed purpose.

It’s worth noting that Ben Affleck also appears as the DCEU’s Batman early in the film, before Barry alters the timeline. This is more of a cameo, but it provides a contrast to Keaton’s older, world-weary version.
